Reyansh: The First Ray (Ajrakh Hand Block Printed Kurta)
Reyansh: The First Ray (Ajrakh Hand Block Printed Kurta)

The Story Surya married Sanjna, daughter of Vishwakarma, the architect of the gods. She loved him. But she could not look at him. His light was too much. So one day she left, and in her place she left her shadow, Chhaya. Surya did not chase her with more light. He went to her father and said: make me bearable. Vishwakarma placed the sun on his lathe and shaved away his blaze, layer by layer. From the shavings he made the Sudarshana Chakra and Shiva’s trishula. The sun gave up some of his glory so that the one he loved could sit beside him. What You Wear The traditional Ajrakh block print, reimagined with Devdutt Pattanaik's illustrations. His sun repeats across the cloth, face after face, printed by hand in Jaipur. No two blocks land in exactly the same way. That is how you know a hand did it. Why It Matters At Anahat, we believe mythology is not behind us. It is within us. Reyansh is the light that chooses warmth over blaze. The kind of light a home needs.
